SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE RACE 2019

Lost In Kainuu Kivesvaara-Paltamo Adventure Race 13.-14.9.2019 will be held in the Paltamo-Kivesvaara (Jättiläisenmaa = Land of giant) – Manamansalo -area

Competition starts and ends in Kivesvaara (Jättiläisenmaa) and offers 3 categories. Extremely Lost -category is 24 hours long continuous race for 3-persons. Lost-category is made for teams of 2 person and it lasts 16-18 hours with mandatory night break. Almost Lost -category is 6-8 hours long and it is for 2 persons.

In Adventure Race we have a diverse amount of adventure quests (tasks) which will test the physical and mental durability of the team and participants.

During the competition, teams will face different challenges in navigation, MTB-biking, canoeing, running, orienteering, swimming/other water tasks, upsailing/climbing and other extreme things that have not had yet in the previous adventure races.

You can take part in this adventure race if you have basic orienteering and swimming skills and you are at least 18 years old. To participate in the adventure does not require rope climbing skills. Rope training will be available before the start at the competition area.
